Evening Invitation Wording Examples
Evening wedding invitations are sent to guests who will only be attending the evening part of your day. These invites will quite often say Evening Invitation on the front, as opposed to Wedding Invitation, which will be for guests attending all of your day.

Plan
Think ahead and plan your wording before you order your evening invites. It could be a costly mistake if you decide to change something after you have bought them. It’s also a good idea to try stationery samples to ensure you’re happy with the design and quality. Tree of Hearts offers two free samples in designs of your choice.
Layout
Your evening invitations should have a similar layout to your wedding invitations. Make sure the information is clear so that guests will know it’s an invitation to your evening reception only.
Food
Most people will expect food to be served at an evening reception. If you are serving only light snacks, canapés, or no food at all, then it’s a good idea to mention this so guests can eat beforehand if they wish.
Gift List
It is generally not acceptable to include a gift list with evening invitations – wait for your guests to ask.
When to Send
We recommend that you send your evening invitations at the same time as your daytime invitations. That way, people won’t be left wondering if they’ve been sent an invitation.
Planning Your Evening Reception
Once you've got the invitations sorted, it's time to start thinking about the stationery you'll need for the big evening itself! Confetti and bunting are a great way to add some style to the venue. When they're personalised with something like your names or initials, they really add a unique and personal touch to the décor.
If you have a larger venue with multiple rooms, or if you plan an outdoors party, make use of signs to guide your guests. They'll appreciate pointers to facilities and refreshment tables. You can even have fun signs leading the way to entertainment like a photo booth or the dance floor! Venues can also be decorated with personalised table plans and place cards.
