A Guide to Choosing Your Funeral Stationery

Heavenly Cloud Funeral

Choosing your funeral stationery can seem very stressful. You only have a short amount of time to choose stationery, and you really want something that is both useful and beautiful.

This is our guide to choosing funeral stationery.

Step One - Figure Out What You Actually Need

Our first step is to figure out what stationery you actually need. You may feel the need to buy every type of stationery going, but that probably isn't necessary. Make sure you consider costs, as well as what matching stationery you will need.

Here is the stationery you may need:

Announcement Cards

Announcement Cards are used to invite guests to a funeral, and are one of the most important pieces of stationery. They include the details of the service, including the date, time, and location.

Attendance Cards

Attendance cards are used at the funeral so that the family of the deceased can remember who attended. The family can then go on to send anyone who attended a thank you card to show their gratitude for their attendance.

Condolence Books

A condolence book is the same as a guest book, and is used to collect messages from guests who attend the funeral.

Whilst it is not necessary, it can be a really beautiful way to commemorate someone's life and is a irreplaceable keepsake. We would definitely recommend having one.

Post Boxes

A funeral post box is used to collect any sympathy cards from guests. It keeps them all in one place, making sure the funeral venue stays tidy, and that you can easily locate all of the cards.

Memorial Cards

These small cards are usually used as a memento of the funeral. They're definitely not a necessary, so if you are looking to cut costs, these can probably go. However, they are nice to have and guests are sure to appreciate receiving one.

Order of Service

One of the most important pieces of stationery is your funeral order of service. These contain all of the details of the ceremony, including lyrics to any hymns, making it easy for attendees to follow along.

Memorial Signs

A Memorial Sign makes a beautiful centrepiece at any wedding, and can be personalised with any photo of your choice.

Thank You Cards

Sending thank you cards after a funeral is optional. Showing your gratitude is a lovely idea, but guests will understand if you choose not to send them.

Funeral Bookmarks

Funeral bookmarks are another piece of stationery that are used as a memento of the day. They are not a necessary, but make a beautiful and affordable memento.

Step Two - Choose a Design

Next, you'll want to choose a design. Your design should represent the personality of the deceased, as well as the general style of the funeral.

We have a wide range of beautiful designs available, from floral to fishing styles.

All of our funeral stationery is available in matching designs, meaning you can elegantly match your entire ceremony.
