When Should I Send Funeral Thank You Cards?
Sending thank you cards after a funeral is not necessary, but is definitely nice to do. So, if you do decide to send them, you may be wondering when is best to do so.
When should I send funeral thank you cards?
Funeral thank you cards can be sent up to a year after the funeral took place. Some would even say it's never too late to send them.
Whilst funeral attendees probably won't be expecting cards, they're sure to be grateful to receive one. Even if this is a few months after the funeral, it's better to send one late than never send one.
We recommend to send your cards around two to four weeks after the funeral. This gives you enough time to write out thoughtful messages to anyone who left a particularly special gift, as well as gather addresses and prepare.
You may decide to only send cards to attendees who brought a gift or helped out - this is completely fine, too. Do whatever you feel is right.
